Meet Allie
Professional Beach Volleyball Athlete and Recruiting Expert
Allie Wheeler is a professional beach volleyball athlete playing on the AVP and FIVB tours. Born and raised in the Silicon Valley, she grew up as a competitive, multi-sport athlete. She attended Archbishop Mitty High School ('09-'13) where she initially found a spark in indoor volleyball. She started playing competitively for her high school and Vision Volleyball Club.

During her sophomore year of high school, she started the recruiting process. After countless painful phone calls, emails, and college visits, she had the hard decision to make of whether to play beach or indoor in college. She fell in love with beach volleyball and decided to pursue it in college with no certainty that the sport would take off and become a successful collegiate sport. She became the first beach volleyball recruit from Northern California. She made the decision to retire the kneepads and move to the sandy beaches of Southern California to attend the University of Southern California.

While majoring in international relations and minoring in entrepreneurship at the University Southern California ('13-'17), her team won 3 National Championships, 2 Pac-12 titles, and she was named an AVCA All-American her senior year. After a highly successful 4 years at the University of Southern California ('13-'17), she decided to further her education and pursue her Masters in Business Administration at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. At Cal Poly ('17-'19), she also had the opportunity to work alongside Todd Rogers and the Cal Poly beach volleyball program. As an assistant coach, she helped lead the team to win their first Big West Championship title and their first time qualifying for the NCAAs.

Since graduating from Cal Poly, Allie now resides in Hermosa Beach while pursuing her dream of playing professionally, coaching, and mentoring young athletes just like her.
